Mrs. Gemina Archer-Davies is a well-known Sierra Leonean, wife, mother, and mentor to many in the Washington area, where she has made significant contributions to the local and international community.

Mrs Archer-Davies is currently a Division Chief at the Institute of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which provides training to Fund economists and government officials of IMF member countries. Over the last 33 years, she has held progressively responsible managerial positions in other departments at the IMF, including the Human Resources Department and the Joint World Bank/IMF Library.

Mrs. Archer-Davies has a degree in Psychology, a Master of Science degree in Library Science, and another Master of Science degree in Human Resources and Organizational Development. She is a former President of the Sierra Leone Association of University Women (SLAUW-USA branch); an active member of the Freetown Secondary School for Girls Ex-Pupil’s Association (Washington branch); and a member of the Mothers’ Union Organization. She is Senior Advisor to the World Bank/IMF African Society, Advisor to the Sierra Leone and American Business Association, and a former member of the IMF Diversity Council. She is a competent toastmaster and has been recognized with awards for her involvement in public and professional organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area. Mrs. Archer-Davies can always be counted on to assist in furthering many worthwhile causes; she is guided by the belief that: God gives us the gift of life; and what we make of our lives is our gift to God.
